SST - EC60-1 Video Camera Power & Rechargeable Battery Adapter™ for Convention Control Systems

    The SST - EC60-1 Micro Wireless Video Camera Power & Rechargeable Battery Adapter is a small unit that draws power from the track circuit while the train is in motion. The adaptor filters and smoothes the power supplied to the camera when the train is travelled on the dirty track and cross over the track points/switches and crossing. This adapter will supply power to the Micro Wireless Video Camera for as long necessary whereas a normal 9V battery will only last for about 2 hours before the charge is emptied.

    When the train is in motion in either directions - Forward or Reverse - correct polarity and smooth voltage is fed from the track through the adapter to the camera at 8 volts. At the same time the power also recharges the battery. The battery is used when the power to the Adapter is lost through interference caused by dirty tracks and/or as the train travels over the track points/switches and crossings. When the train is stationary, the battery is also used to supply power to the camera for as long as 15 minutes or until the battery charge is emptied.

    The LED light indicates whether the power to the camera is 'ON' or 'OFF'.

SST - EC20-1 Conventional Track Point/Switch Interface Controller™

    The SST - EC20-1 Conventional Track Point/Switch Interface Controller unit is a switch decoder for use in conjunction with the SST - EC10-1 USB Interface Conventional Train Controller™ unit. This
    SST - EC20-1 unit is designed specifically to connect with the double-coiled track point/switch motor drive. This SST - EC20-1 unit controls and changes the direction of the track point/switch according to the information received from the software product - "Video Train Driver - Conventional" in the computer using the USB linkage and through the SST - EC10-1 USB Interface Conventional Train Controller™ unit.

    The SST - EC20-1 unit delivers a controlled pulse of 1 second which activates the track point/switch to change direction but is short enough to prevent burn-out of the track point/switch motor drive.

    This SST - EC20-1 unit has 16 outputs to control 8 double-coil track point/switch motor drives and two 9 pin serial input/output ports which are to be connected with SST - EC10-1 USB Interface Conventional Train Controller unit and/or another additional SST - EC20-1 Conventional Track Point/Switch Interface Controller unit in sequential order. Up to 4 units can be connected together in serial to make 63 outputs and it can control up to 31 track points/switches.

    The DIL switches at the bottom of the SST - EC20-1 unit is used to set the address of the SST - EC20-1 unit and when connected in serial with the other SST - EC20-1 units to set the addresses in sequential order.

    It also has LED lights displayed on the unit to indicate the track point/switch direction. It has a covered case with 4 rubber footings.

SST - ECD30-1 Track Point/Switch Output Interface Module™ for Conventional and
Digital Control Systems

    This product, SST - ECD30-1 Track Point/Switch Output Interface Module™, provides a simple, effective interface between an analogue control/display panel and the Computer-linked SST - EC20-1 Conventional Track Point/Switch Controller or any DCC systems with the indication of directional change of the track point/switch displayed on all of three displays simultaneously (Panel, handheld controller's LCD display and even with the software - 'SST - Video Train Driver' and/or 'Layout Operation' on the computer monitor) without the need to extensively rewire a new Digital control/display panel to a Digital Central control system that replaces an analogue control/display panel.

    This product, SST - ECD30-1 Track Point/Switch Output Interface Module™ has 4 track point/switch interface output units on the board. It does not have a covered case but it has 4 screw holes which enable it to fixed to the underside of the baseboard of the train layout.

    For Digital Control systems This SST - ECD30-1 module enables Digital Control systems such as Lenz - LS100 accessory with feedback module or Lenz - LS110 or LS150 accessory module and Lenz - LR101 feedback module or any other DCC track point/switch or accessory modules with or without feedback to quickly and easily be connected by wire to the SST ECD30-1 Track Point/Switch Output Interface module.

SST - ECD90-1 Track Point/Switch Capacitor Discharge Unit™ for Conventional and
Digital Control Systems

    The SST - ECD90-1 Track Point/Switch Capacitor Discharge Unit™ is a small electrical charge storage device and it is used to overcome problems such as overheating and burnout associated with the use of 2 solenoid track point/switch motor drive.

    The SST - ECD90-1 Track Point/Switch Capacitor Discharge Unit™ supplies a controlled high current 'burst' to the solenoid. This current burst is over by the time the switch contacts open, thus eliminating back emf across the switch contacts. When a solenoid should be left in circuit, the current flowing through it (after the initial surge) will be less than 50mA. This will not be enough to heat the solenoid.

    A large transformer will be needed to supply an amount of high current to the solenoid of the track point/switch for their operation to change the directional of the track point/switch. Any other items on the train layout using the same supply will suffer. Using this SST - ECD90-1 Track Point/Switch Capacitor Discharge Unit™ will increase the efficiency of the power to the train layout.

    This SST - ECD90-1 Track Point/Switch Capacitor Discharge Unit™ is recommended to be used together with the SST - EC20-1 Conventional Track Point/Switch Interface Controller™ unit and SST - ECD30-1 Track Point/Switch Output Interface Module™ or any DCC systems and SST - ECD30-1 Track Point/Switch Output Interface Module™ for most club and big layouts.

SST - EC404-1 Track Occupied Detector™ for Convention Control Systems

    The SST - EC404-1 Track Occupied Detector™ is a current-sensitive track detection system that detects a locomotive or carriage in a section of track. It can also sense direction of movement of the train and LED light indicators on the control panel that operated automatically. 
    The SST - EC404-1 module can also support other functions such as an animated grade crossing system complete with flashing lights and sound effects, a circuit for programmed track point/switch control, and an automatic reversing loop.

    This SST - EC404-1 module is designed for used with Analogue-controlled Model Train systems (12-14V DC) only.

    This SST - EC404-1 module has 4 train-detector output units on the board. It does not have a covered case but it has 4 screw holes which enables you to mount it to the baseboard under the train layout.

    This SST - EC404-1 Track Occupied Detector™ is the standard model and can be used on the sections of track anywhere on the layout. Indication of a train is not automatic (The train standing on the section of track will not indicated when there is no power supplied to that section of track), but the operation is able to employ manual switching to activate live sections of track. It is commonly used for long, single-line tracks.

    The SST - EC414-1 Track Occupied Detector - Professional™ is the professional model and it will be required if you want the train to be automatically detected on a section of track regardless of whether the power is switched "ON" or "OFF" on the Control/Display Panel.
    if you have  more than one train operating simultaneously on any section of track then the multi-switches are recommended for use and control of the power supply to the trains on high traffic or siding sections of track to avoid possible train collisions.

Control Systems

    The SST - EC414-1 Track Occupied Detector - Professional™ is a current-sensitive track detection system that detects a locomotive or carriage in a section of track.     This SST - EC414-1 module has 4 train-detector output units on the board. It does not have a covered case but it has 4 screw holes which enables you to mount it to the baseboard under the train layout.

SST - ECD508-1 Track Occupy Detected Output Interface Module™ for Conventional and Digital systems

    The Track Occupied Detector Output Interface is the interface between the current-sensitive track detector and the LED-lighted display of occupied track sections on the control/display panel or the control of any other items such as an animated grade crossing system complete with flashing lights and sound effects, a circuit for programmed track point/switch control and an automatic reversing loop. This module is designed to be used for either conventional or digital control systems.
